Host Terms for Paid Entry
Обновлено 2026-10-18
Этот текст доступен на английском и немецком. Действует английская версия.
These terms apply in addition to the Terms of Use when you charge for entry to your event on Party. You accept them before you set up payouts. Version 2026-10-18; for hosts who accepted an earlier version, the changes apply from 2 November 2026 (15 days’ notice) or when they accept this version.
Who is who
Party is operated by Leo Heinz Sommerhalder (sole proprietor), Schaerhusweg 7, 4852 Rothrist, Switzerland. When you charge for entry, you are the seller of the tickets and the organiser of your event: buyers conclude their contract for entry with you. Party provides the technology, shows your offer and arranges the payment through Stripe.
Who may sell
- You must be at least 18 and sell in your own name, in one of the countries offered in the app — the countries where Stripe can pay hosts out for Party: most of Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Mexico and Thailand. It is chosen once, with the country of your bank account and ID.
- Your Stripe account is the seller of record for your sales. Depending on your country, buyers’ card statements and receipts may show the name, city, address or telephone number you give Stripe.
- You are responsible for the taxes, permits and rules of your country and of the place of your event. Party may ask for the information that tax or platform-reporting rules require it to collect from sellers.
- One payout account per person. Companies and associations cannot onboard as such yet; they sell through a natural person who is responsible for the sale.
How you sell: privately or as a business
- Before your first sale you declare whether you sell as a private person or as a business (regularly, or with the aim of making money: a company, a sole trader, a club, a promoter). Keep this declaration accurate.
- Buyers are told before they buy who sells and whether privately or as a business. A business seller gives a name, a postal address, a telephone number and an email address, which Party shows to buyers.
- Business sellers have the duties of a trader towards consumers, including the information they owe, and their prices include any VAT that is due.
- Your name or business name appears on Stripe’s payment page and may appear on buyers’ card statements.
Payments through Stripe
Payment processing services for hosts on Party are provided by Stripe and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement (stripe.com/connect-account/legal), which includes the Stripe Terms of Service (collectively, the “Stripe Services Agreement”). By agreeing to these terms or continuing to operate as a host on Party, you agree to be bound by the Stripe Services Agreement, as the same may be modified by Stripe from time to time. As a condition of Party enabling payment processing services through Stripe, you agree to provide Party accurate and complete information about you and your business, and you authorise Party to share it and transaction information related to your use of the payment processing services provided by Stripe.
Stripe verifies your identity and holds your bank details; Party never sees them. Stripe’s privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy.
Your event
- Hold the event as described, at the time and place stated.
- Follow the law: permits, alcohol and youth-protection rules, music licences, capacity, safety and age limits, and check age and identity at the door where the law or your event requires it.
- Taxes on your ticket income are yours.
Fees
Party keeps 5 % of the ticket price plus a fixed amount per ticket in the currency you are paid in (CHF 0.50, EUR 0.50, GBP 0.40, USD 0.50; the amount for every currency is listed at partyapp.io/hosting and shown in the app before you set a price). It includes Stripe’s card fees for the sale. Guests pay exactly the price you set. A change of fees applies only to events created at least 15 days after we announce it.
Payouts
- Your share of each event (the ticket price minus Party’s fee, minus refunds) is paid out to your bank account at the earliest 7 days after the event ended, counted in the event’s time zone, and only once no refund request, refund, card dispute, report that it did not take place or investigation about it is open. Moving the event to an earlier date never brings its payout forward.
- Until then Stripe keeps the money in your Stripe balance and only Party starts payouts. Stripe can hold money only for a limited time (generally 90 days; two years in the US; 10 days in Thailand), so ticket sales for an event open at the earliest that long before its payout date.
- Party may hold payouts longer while any of the above is open, or until a person has checked a larger event, and tells you why.
Refunds
- If you cancel the event, every buyer is refunded in full automatically, and Party returns its fee.
- If you postpone the event or change it substantially (date, place, nature), buyers may ask for a full refund, and you refund them.
- Guests can ask you for a refund in the app. You answer within 72 hours: refund in full, refund part (the ticket stays valid), ask a question, or decline with a reason. If you decline or do not answer in time, the guest can ask Party to review it; Party then decides under the ticket terms and the law and may refund on your behalf.
- If the event does not take place as described, Party may refund buyers on your behalf, without your approval.
- You can refund single orders yourself under Manage › Ticket sales.
- A refund takes your share back from your Stripe balance.
Card fees of refunds you are responsible for
- Stripe does not return its card fee when a payment is refunded (see stripe.com/docs/refunds). When a ticket is refunded because you cancelled the event, because Party established that it did not take place as described, or because you approved the refund, you bear Stripe’s non-refundable card fee of that payment — exactly the amount Stripe charged, which Party shows you with each payment. For a partial refund, the same share of that fee. Party returns its own fee on fully refunded tickets and adds nothing on top.
- When the app asks you to, you register a card through Stripe (Party never sees its number) and authorise Party to charge it for these card fees only. Party charges it once the refunds of an event are complete, after showing you the amount and its breakdown. Registering a card charges nothing, and a registered card is no guarantee that a later charge succeeds.
- If the charge fails, your account is limited to paying, changing the card, support, refund requests, your data and the legal pages until the amount is paid; you can pay in the app at any time and the limit ends automatically when Stripe confirms the payment.
- If you think an amount is wrong, say so in the app: Party does not collect it until a person has reviewed it, and corrects or waives it if it is wrong.
Disputes, chargebacks and negative balances
- You bear refunds and card disputes (chargebacks) for your sales, including Stripe’s dispute fee, unless the dispute arose from Party’s own fault.
- Party answers disputes with the evidence it has; you help with the evidence you have (for example that the buyer was admitted).
- Party may take back amounts it has covered for you from your Stripe balance or from future payouts, and may claim any remainder from you.
Checks of larger events
Party assesses what each paid event could cost if it went wrong. Above set limits — which grow with the events you have completed without problems — or when there are serious signs that an event will not take place as described, ticket sales or the payout wait until a person at Party has checked the event, and Party may ask you for information (for example the venue booking). A person decides; you can ask for a review at support@partyapp.io.
Restriction and termination
- Party may restrict or end your paid-entry access for illegal content, a breach of these terms or of the Community Guidelines, fraud risk, or a requirement of Stripe.
- We tell you what we decided and why, at the latest when the restriction takes effect. Except in serious or repeated cases or where the law requires otherwise, we give 30 days’ notice before we end your paid-entry access.
- You may ask us to review a decision at support@partyapp.io.
How events are ordered
Events hosted on Party are listed before events from other sources; within that, by distance and start time. Nobody pays for a better position, and Party’s own events get no preference.
Data
- For your events you see your buyers’ names, the number of tickets, their status and check-ins. You may use this only to run your event, and you are responsible for it as a controller.
- Party keeps records of sales for as long as accounting and tax law requires (in Switzerland, 10 years).
Liability
Party is not the organiser of your event and is not liable for it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under the applicable law.
Changes, law and contact
- We announce changes to these terms at least 15 days before they apply; you can stop selling before then. A new version must be accepted before your next payout setup.
- Swiss law applies; mandatory rules of your country of residence remain unaffected.
