Hosting Terms

Этот текст доступен на английском и немецком. Действует английская версия.
These terms apply, in addition to the Terms of Use, to everyone who hosts an event on Party, free or paid. You accept them in the app before your first event. Paid entry adds the Host Terms for Paid Entry (partyapp.io/legal/host-terms). Version 2026-10-19.
You are the organiser
When you host an event on Party, you are its organiser: you hold it in your own name, under your own responsibility and at your own risk. Party, operated by Leo Heinz Sommerhalder (sole proprietor), Schärhusweg 7, 4852 Rothrist, Switzerland, provides the app and its tools (invitations, guest list, tickets, chat, photos). Party does not organise, run, supervise or staff your event, does not choose or inspect the place, and is not your partner, employer, agent or insurer.
Safety
- You are responsible for the safety of everyone at and around your event: guests, helpers, performers, neighbours and passers-by.
- Choose a place that is suitable and safe for the kind of event and the number of people, and never admit more people than it can safely hold.
- Keep escape routes and emergency exits free, unlocked and clearly marked; know where fire extinguishers and first-aid material are; make sure people can get out quickly.
- Take particular care with balconies, roofs, stairs, pools and open water, fire, candles, pyrotechnics, heating, gas and electrical installations, and do not allow dangerous activities.
- Have responsible, sober people present throughout the event. In an emergency, call the emergency services at once and help them (the numbers: partyapp.io/legal/safety). Party is not an emergency service and is not present at your event.
The place, its rules and the law
- Make sure you may use the place: the permission of its owner, landlord or venue. Follow its house rules and the building, fire-safety and occupancy rules that apply to it.
- Obtain the permits and licences your event needs, for example for a public event, a temporary bar, food, music (and its copyright society), sound levels, tents or stages, and follow noise, closing-time and neighbourhood rules.
- Taxes, duties and social-security contributions arising from your event are yours.
Alcohol, drugs and age
- Party is for adults. Respect the age limit of your event and the legal ages for alcohol and tobacco where it takes place, and check age and identity at the door where the law or your event requires it.
- Do not serve alcohol to anyone below the legal age or to visibly intoxicated people.
- No illegal drugs, weapons or other illegal goods at your event.
Insurance
You are responsible for the insurance that your event, your place or the law requires. Party strongly recommends a liability insurance (personal or for events) that covers your event. Party does not insure your event.
Damage, injury and your liability
- You are liable, as the applicable law provides, for damage, injury and death arising from your event, including damage to the place and to third parties.
- You indemnify and hold harmless the operator of Party against all claims of third parties, fines and penalties imposed by authorities, and reasonable costs including legal costs, that arise from your event or from your breach of these terms or of the law, unless they were caused by Party’s own fault.
- If someone makes a claim against Party because of your event, you support Party with the information and documents you have.
Guests, photos and data
- Treat what you learn about guests (names, the guest list, addresses, check-ins) confidentially and use it only to run your event.
- You look through your event’s Afterglow before it is shared and remove photos that should not be in it, and any photo someone in it asks you to remove.
What Party may do
Party does not monitor events and has no duty to do so. It may remove or cancel an event, restrict hosting or suspend accounts as described in the Terms of Use, and it passes information to authorities where the law requires it or someone’s life or safety is at risk.
Party’s liability
Party is not liable for your event or for what happens at it, before it or after it. Party’s liability for the app itself is limited to the extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the applicable law, in particular for intent or gross negligence of Party itself, or for injury to life and health that Party itself caused.
Changes and law
- We announce changes to these terms at least 15 days before they apply; you accept a new version in the app before your next event.
- Swiss law applies; mandatory rules of your country of residence remain unaffected. Questions: support@partyapp.io.
