Terms of Use

本文提供英文和德文版本。以英文版本为准。
These terms govern your use of Party. By creating an account you agree to them.
Who runs Party
Party is operated by Leo Heinz Sommerhalder (sole proprietor), Schaerhusweg 7, 4852 Rothrist, Switzerland. Contact for users and authorities, including the single point of contact under the EU Digital Services Act: support@partyapp.io, in German or English.
The service
Party provides tools to discover events, create events, invite guests, manage guest lists and issue and scan entry tickets. Hosts organise their events independently. Party is not the organiser of events hosted by users or organisations and is not a party to arrangements between hosts and guests.
Your account
- You must be at least 18. You confirm your date of birth when you create your account; an account under 18 cannot be used. Party does not check IDs; hosts and venues may. How this works: partyapp.io/legal/age.
- You can sign up with your email address, or with Apple or Google; their own terms apply to your account with them.
- One account per person. Provide accurate information and keep your sign-in details to yourself.
- You are responsible for activity on your account.
Hosting
- You are responsible for your event, its safety, and compliance with the law, including age limits, alcohol rules, noise, capacity, permits and licensing rules. The hosting rules in the Community Guidelines apply.
- Only publish events you actually intend to hold. Do not misrepresent the time, the venue, the organiser or the nature of the event, and update or cancel it in time if plans change.
- A “verified” badge is granted and revoked by Party alone and only confirms the checks described in the app.
Tickets and entry
- Tickets for events hosted on Party are personal entry credentials. Entry is free unless the host sets a price (see “Paid tickets”). One ticket admits one person once.
- Hosts and venues may refuse entry in accordance with the law and their house rules, including after an ID check.
- A cancelled event voids its tickets.
- You can add a ticket to Apple Wallet. The pass carries the same entry code as the app and updates itself; it is not an extra ticket.
- Tickets, refunds and cancellations in detail: partyapp.io/legal/tickets.
Acceptable use
The Community Guidelines are part of these terms. Do not use Party for anything illegal, to harm others or to get around its safety features, and do not access it by automated means except through the links and interfaces we provide.
Party has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Content like that is removed, and accounts that post it or abuse others are suspended or closed.
Reports and content moderation
- Anyone can report an event, person, message or photo in the app (“…” › Report), or report illegal content without an account at partyapp.io/report.
- A person on the Party team reviews every report and notice. No automated tool decides about content; rate limits that briefly stop a repeated action apply automatically.
- If content or behaviour is illegal or breaks these terms or the Community Guidelines, we may remove content, cancel an event, restrict hosting or messaging, or suspend or close an account. We choose the measure according to how serious the breach is, whether it was repeated and whether it was intentional.
- We tell you what we decided and why, and on what rule it is based. The person who reported is told the outcome. If you disagree, write to support@partyapp.io and we review the decision again. You can also go to court.
- Information suggesting a crime that threatens someone’s life or safety is passed to the competent authorities.
Events from other sources
Party also lists public events from third parties, currently Eventfrog. Party does not organise these events, does not sell or issue tickets for them and is not responsible for them. Booking, payment, cancellations and refunds are handled by the organiser or ticket provider named on the listing, under their terms. Listings are updated daily; the organiser’s own page is authoritative.
Content you post
- You keep the rights to what you post (profile, event details, messages, photos) and allow Party to store and show it as needed to run the service, to the people your settings and the event allow.
- Only post what you own or may use: photos, logos, artwork, music and texts of others need their permission, and identifiable people should agree to being shown.
- If you believe content on Party infringes your copyright or other rights, report it at partyapp.io/report.
Cancellations
A host may cancel their event at any time; guests are notified and their tickets become void.
Paid tickets
- The host — not Party — is the seller of the ticket and the organiser of the event, and your contract for entry is with the host. Party provides the technology and arranges the payment through the payment provider Stripe.
- The price shown is the total you pay; Party charges buyers nothing on top. You pay on Stripe’s page; Party never receives your payment details.
- Your ticket is issued as soon as Stripe confirms the payment. If the payment is not completed, the place is released; if a payment arrives after the last place has gone, it is refunded in full.
- If the event is cancelled you are refunded in full, automatically. Otherwise a paid ticket cannot be returned, unless the host agrees to a refund or the law requires one; there is no statutory right of withdrawal for tickets to an event on a fixed date. If you delete your account, tickets you have not used are lost without a refund.
- Hosts who charge for entry set up payouts with Stripe, which verifies their identity; they are responsible for their event, for the taxes on their ticket sales and for giving guests what they paid for. Party keeps a service fee that is shown before a price is set.
Liability
Party is provided as it is, without a promise that it is always available or free of errors. Hosts are responsible for their own events; Party does not organise them and is not a party to what hosts and guests agree. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the applicable law, in particular for intent, gross negligence or personal injury.
Suspension and termination
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, as described under “Reports and content moderation”.
Changes
We may update these terms. We tell you about material changes in the app before they take effect; if you do not agree, you can delete your account.
Law and venue
These terms are governed by Swiss law. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country you live in, including its courts, remain unaffected.
